Review: YUMÉI premium white blackhead and pore series

Yes, I admit... I am addicted to beauty product. Every single time I see a new product in glossy packaging and ever awesome claims, my hands really itches to try it out. I guess the boom of the cosmetic industry is largely due to the belief that 'there are no ugly girls, only lazy girls.' :)

On top of that, I am addicted to asian skincare. Bummers, I am asian, what? :P

SO anyway, without further distraction, the product that I couldn't wait to review about are the YUMÉI Blackhead Eliminating Solution and Pore Refining Sebum Toner. I got these two babies when I visited Hong Kong last month. To be honest, I wasn't looking for these products. I didn't read much reviews about it. But just out of curiosity, I asked for some recommendations from the sales girl and she intro these two to me.

# Blackhead Eliminating Solution

# Pore Refining Sebum Toner

They cost about $20-25 per piece, but then since it is quite a big bottle, I purchased it anyway.

So first step, take a cotton pad and soak it with the Blackhead Eliminating Solution. What this solution does is once applied on the face, it claims to be able to open the pores which cleans the pores. Sounds cool... but didn't other products also made the exact same claim?? Let's put it to the test...

# A swab of Blackhead Eliminating Solution. Probably the lighting isn't too right... the liquid is suppose to look slightly murky, not clear liquid. And this goes on to the troubled area for about 10-20 minutes. And it needs to be wet the entire time. I guess I was anxious the first time, so I resprayed more solution on the cotton halfway through. :P It wasn't exactly a disaster, except then my nose smells like the solution, which is a bit like detergent.

As my blackhead is submerged kind, the salesgirl did mention I need to apply slight pressure (less than usual) to get the naughty things out. But in that case, it is hard to see the actual result, so I invited my cute model with visible Blackhead to test this out for me~!

# Ta da~! The results... So creepy!!! *Shrieks in horror + fascination* If you care to take a look at my previous post , I assure you there is a MAJOR difference. Not only the nose strip adheres really well but the blackhead came out as a WHOLE, not halfway.

This is the pic after our little experiment, and it looks so awesomely shiny and definitely smooth. There are areas where the nose strip did not reach, but we later cleaned it up with tweezers. Very easy and totally crazy~!!

# Sorry I just had to show this pic~! :P I know I don't have a before pic coz I didn't trust this product before we try. But next time, I will... I promise...

But anyway, incase you get too worked up by my review, here are some pores... oops, I meant pros (:P) and cons of this product, according to me.

Pros:
1. It really helps with the removal of Black head, especially for those with strawberry nose syndrome.
2. Unlike my previous review, this does not contain scrub and it is not abrasive for the skin. Hence, you can use it more than once a month (subjected to skin type). This comment is really in contrast to the previous product I tried.

Cons:
1. You need to let the solution sit on your face for 10-20 minutes, which is a long time which you have nothing to do. (But I felt that since it requires some time, it gives me flexibility to do my work while having it on my nose. So, not really a con)
2. Unfortunately for those with submerged blackhead like mine, I may still need to use pressure to get my nose really clean. Otherwise, I can still opt for nose strip to clean it up.

O yeah, Don't forget to use a pore refining lotion or serum after this (I am using the pore refining sebum toner in this case, yet to comment...). What has been open, needs to be close now. :)

O yeah, like my eyes.... Good night~! And have fun~!! XD
